Electric vehicles enable cities to reduce emissions while also reducing the operational cost of transport. However, their widespread adoption requires the development of a robust vehicle adoption pathway and charging infrastructure network.

The Future Mobility Calculator, developed by the World Resources Institute and Siemens in collaboration with the Coalition for Urban Transitions, enables cities to determine the urban infrastructure needed for successful electric vehicle and charging station rollout and the costs and social benefits associated with that investment. The tool is aimed at helping cities to make informed decisions about the future of their mobility and energy systems.
